Replacement exhaust camshaft oil seal
Removal of the gland Remove the timing belt.
Remove the camshaft sprocket (use counterhold for fixing) (Fig. 2.112).
To enter the puller screw gland adapter camshaft by hand until it is time (Fig. 2.125). Remove the inside of the oil seal puller two turns (about 3 mm) of the outer part and lock the knurled screw.
Lubricate threaded head engine oil, install and press down firmly, screw it as deeply as possible into the stuffing box (Fig. 2.126). Loosen knurled screw and turn inner part of extractor against camshaft until oil seal is not removed.
Install the gland Remove the remaining oil on the crank pin of a camshaft with a clean cloth. Cover the groove on the cone of the camshaft (such as adhesive tape). Push gently dry the oil seal on the neck of a cam.
Fitting the seal with the mounting sleeve until it stops. To do this, use the screw (Fig. 2.127). Insert the parallel key in the camshaft. Install the camshaft gear (Fig. 2.112). To tighten the bolts holding the camshaft gear using the counter support. Tightening torque 65 Nm.
NOTE When you scroll through the camshaft, none of the pistons must not be at TDC. There is a risk of damage to the valve / piston. |
Make sure to install a parallel key. Install the timing belt. Install poly V-belt. Further installation and assembly is performed in reverse sequence to removal.
