Install the transfer case

Install in reverse order, with the following should be considered.

If necessary, use-fitting sleeves for centering the transfer case and transmission.

Always replace the O-ring seals the transfer case / gearbox, previously lightly greased it.

Grease the teeth of the drive shaft and the gear teeth of the drive shaft gearbox grease to the teeth of the driven drive G 000 100 (Fig. 3.100).

Transfer box located next to the gearbox, and the gearing of the drive shaft / transfer case align with the teeth of the input shaft / gear box in the middle.

With the right engagement and matching rails transfer case abuts the stop transmission.

Do not Screw the transfer case to the gearbox mounting bolts, otherwise it snaps into place.

Install the front propeller shaft.

If there is, set the damper And on the transfer case and tighten the bolts B (Fig. 3.95).

The inscription ?�Top?� should point upwards.

Install the rear propeller shaft.

If there is - install underbody protection under the transfer case.

Check the oil level in the transfer case

Install the exhaust system.

Tightening torques

The transfer case to the gearbox 45 Nm.

Damper to dropbox: 32 Nm.
