Removing and installing starter (8-cyl. Engine with injection 4.2 liter, automatic transmission)
Withdrawal Remove the engine. Remove the exhaust manifold. 1 Remove the fixing bolt.
Unlock and remove cable 2 cable holder 3 from the bracket of the engine (Fig. 7.32).
Suspend the engine to a device for hanging 3033 by the right cylinder head (side of toothed belt), and the left cylinder head (side of flywheel). Hang the device for hanging crane VAS 3033 to 6100.
Remove the engine mount. Remove the three mounting bolts of the engine bracket from the engine block. Remove the engine mounting.

Turn off fixing nuts of the cable terminals 50 1 and the positive cable 2 from the magnetic starter switch (Fig. 7.37). Put wire side.

Remove the lower mounting bolt on the side of the starter motor (Fig. 7.38).

Remove the upper starter mounting bolt on the side of the gearbox (Fig. 7.39). Remove the starter.
Setting Install in reverse order, with the following should be considered. Tighten to the specified torque.
