Vane pumps, 5-cyl. diesel engine
Repair work for the vane pump is not provided. At fault, the cause is determined by the hydraulic pressure test and leak test. When a fault vane pump must be replaced.
NOTE In the absence of fluid in the reservoir should be checked for tightness of the entire steering system. If a leak in the area of pipeline connections in the first place, check for leaks and pipeline connections, if necessary tighten and dry. The pumps supplied by the manufacturer is not filled with oil. Therefore, before installing the pump to be filled with hydraulic fluid G 002 000 and turn by hand, otherwise there may be noise at movement or damage to the pump. |

Install the adapter, as shown in Figure 5.18. Remove hose clamp 3094 from the suction pipe
Make sure that the lever on the pressure gauge is in position 2 (Fig. 5.19). Start the engine and, if necessary, refill the reservoir hydraulic oil. Turn the steering wheel from lock to lock about 10 times. Then check the pump head. In order to verify that the system must be sealed Hoses and pipes must not be kinked and should not be clamped.
At idle the engine shut-off valve is not more than 5 seconds (position 1) and read the pressure (Fig. 5.20). Nominal pressure: 110-120 bar. If the value is less than specified, replace the vane pump. Remove the pressure gauge and adapter. Bleed the steering system. Check the oil level of the hydraulic system and top up if necessary. Check steering system for leaks.
