Check the thickness of the brake pads
Brake pads front disc brake wear faster than the rear drum brakes. However, it is advisable, with regular checking, control all the brake pads 4 wheels.
Front disc brakes PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. Mark the position of the front wheel relative to the hub with paint, in order to balance the wheel could be installed in the same position. Loosen the wheel bolts. | 2. Set the machine on a stand, remove the front wheel. If the laths are relatively new, can be made by only one front wheel. In this case, the right front wheel is removed. As a result approximately the same wear and tear, it can be concluded about the thickness of plates and the other front wheel. | | 3. Check the thickness of the lining on the eye with a metal plate, rear, via the brake support. In case of doubt, remove the brake pads and check the thickness (a) caliper. The figure shows the outer brake pad. Inner trim (on the reverse side of the brake disk) to verify the same. | 4. Border wear front brake pads is achieved, if the thickness of the brake pads (with plate) is 7 mm. |

Drum brakes REAR WHEEL
PERFORMANCE ORDER | 1. To establish the car on supports. | | 2. Remove the rear brake support plug (arrow) and shine a flashlight into the hole. Boundary wear is achieved if the pad at this point has a thickness of 1.0 mm (without shoes). In cases of doubt, remove the brake drum and measure the lining thickness. When checking the thickness of the lining to draw attention to the lack of brake fluid or oil on the brake linings. In this case, the brake pads replaced immediately. | 3. If the boundary of wear is reached, replace the pads. Replace the entire lining of the bridge at once. A warning 1 mm brake pad wear corresponds to about 1000 kilometers, and in adverse driving conditions. Usually lining long enough. When the thickness of the front disc brake linings about 10.0 mm (together with the plate), they still have enough for at least 3000 km.
