Guided and clutch pressure plate, release bearing and fork
Removing the clutch mechanism
Works are performed after removal of the gearbox in the following order: - Secure the flywheel from turning;

- Remove the six screws (Fig. 5.4), weakening them in a circle; - Remove the pressure plate and clutch disc; - Remove the clutch from the clutch and forks; - Remove the plug and boot; - Clean the parts.
Check details
You need to check: - Clutch release bearing. Turn the bearing with a little effort, it should rotate easily and silently; - There are no signs of cracks or wear on the plug; - The integrity of the boot; - Ball joint support fork; - Inspect the flywheel and pressure plate for signs of damage from overheating, cracking, scuffing or other damage to the work surface; - Make sure that the diaphragm spring pressure plate has no cracks or signs of overheating;

Pressure plate does not need to be replaced if it does not exceed the warpage of 0.2 mm. Warpage is permitted only in one direction. Pressure Plate molded, it is replaced in gathering. Clutch plate must meet the following requirements: - On the slave drive should not be the slightest traces of oil and dirt; - Spring damper in the middle of the disc must be in good condition; - The hub disc should move freely on the clutch shaft splines transmission; - Head rivets fastening the friction linings must be recessed relative to the working surface of the latter; - Friction linings must not have cracks and deep grooves; - Rivet assembly press disk should not have play in their nests. if necessary, replace the clutch disc. Installation of the clutch Clutch parts must be installed in this order: - Lubricate the ball joint paste Volvo 11611246-2; - Set: plug and boot release bearing, and then clutch;

- Set the clutch disc with the flat side toward the flywheel using a centering device (Fig. 5.6); - Tighten the bolts of the clutch, gently tightening them diagonally to the clutch moved straight on regulating pins and evenly pressed against the flywheel. Then tighten the bolts diagonally to 21 Nm; - Remove the centering device and lock.
