Check and adjust handbrake
Check operation of the parking brake as follows: - Full braking the car should be achieved by pulling the lever on 5-7 teeth; - Check the operation of the pawl, as well as on / off indicator light in the instrument cluster.

Adjusting the parking brake is performed as follows (Fig. 2.77): - Remove the glove tray at the rear of the console and the rubber cover in the middle; - Remove the three screws and remove the back of the console; - Check the location of the rocker on the cable, if necessary, check the parking brake cables and a support; - Turn the adjusting nut handbrake so that the lifting arm (on support) touched the stopper; - Make sure that the central parking brake cable is always taut; - Set the console in place.
