Check for oil leaks from the engine and gearbox
Check for oil leaks from the engine and transmission should be carried out as follows: - Make sure there are no visible oil leaks and that the fuel, coolant hoses, vacuum hoses, PCV hose tight; - Make sure there are no leaks from the engine and gearbox; - If there is an oil leak from the gearbox, check the oil level in the gearbox (see. Acc. Sec.) And top up if necessary.

NOTE When working on the gearbox, pay great attention to cleanliness, especially when checking and changing the oil. Clean the surface of the filler pipe and drain plug. Use only clean containers. Check for dirt and dust in the workplace. Avoid skin contact. |
Pay with attention to the following points: 1) Has the oil color and it smells burnt? If yes, you perform the following test: - Check whether the registered board diagnostic system fault code; - If the fault code is registered, smell the oil; - Find fault Transmission; - Change the oil. 2) whether there is water in oil (oil is gray)? If yes, you perform the following test: - Determine the cause of the presence of oil in the water; - Replace the gearbox and rinse the oil cooler lines and oil hoses.
