Withdrawal Turn on the ignition. On vehicles with electrically adjustable seats, move them back to the stop. Install the steering wheel for movement directly. Before disconnecting the battery find out whether you have a code switch on the radio. Switch off the ignition and disconnect a wire of "weight" from the storage battery.

On the reverse side of the steering wheel T30 Torx screwdriver, turn clockwise 90 ?� to release the lock slot, and 7 (Fig. 16.58) airbags. Turn the steering wheel a half turn and release the second latch airbags. Disconnect the electrical connectors airbags 3 and 4 remove static electricity and remove the airbag. 5 Remove the bolt attaching the steering wheel. Unplug electrical connectors 2 and the pickup coil heating steering wheel 10. On vehicles with ESP electronic stability remove the steering angle sensor. Remove the two screws and pull over, remove the handle steering column adjustment.

On the lower side, remove the two screws and remove the upper housing 1 (Fig. 16.59) of the steering column.

Remove the three screws 1 and 2 (Fig. 16.60) and remove the bottom casing of a steering column 3.

2 Remove the bolt attaching the steering column switch. Unplug electrical connectors 3 and remove the switches from the steering column. Release clips of wires of the steering column and move wires aside. On vehicles with automatic gearbox, move the selector lever to position P.

Turn the ignition key to position B (?�Ignition on?�) (Fig. 16.62). Remove the lever 1 and remove the ignition cable 2, pull it from the chassis ignition.

Unscrew the nut 1 (Fig. 16.63) securing the universal joint of the steering column. Loosen the eccentric bolt by turning it clockwise and remove the bolt. Moving to the side, remove the universal joint of the steering column. Remove the bolts of the steering column and remove the steering column.

Press up on the sides of the decorative strip at the base of the instrument cluster, and remove it (Fig. 16.64).

Remove the two screws securing the instrument cluster (Fig. 16.65). Pull the instrument cluster of the instrument panel. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the rear of the instrument cluster and remove the instrument cluster. Remove the screws and remove the bottom panel to finish the parcel shelf of the driver. Remove the glovebox. Remove the center console. Remove the front section of the center console.

On the left end of the dashboard, remove the three screws 1 (Fig. 16.67). Blade screwdriver to pry and remove the cover from the right end of the dashboard.

On the right end of the dashboard, remove the three screws 1 (Fig. 16.68).

Remove the lower bolts 1 (Fig. 16.69) securing the instrument panel on the driver side. Remove the front passenger airbag.

Use a screwdriver to press the lock 2 (Fig. 16.70) and disconnect the electrical connector 1, the airbag in the direction of the arrow 3.

Remove the photosensor. To do this, fine-blade screwdriver to remove the cover 1 (Fig. 16.72), turn the screw 2, pick up the photo sensor and disconnect from it an electric socket. Disconnect the electrical connectors backlight left, right and center of the dashboard. Pull the instrument panel back and remove it. The operation was performed with an assistant.
Setting Tie a cord to the electrical connector photosensor.

Install the instrument panel in the car and by pressing down snap block 2 (Fig. 16.73) clips 1. Retract the cord electrical connector photosensor. Install the steering column on the vehicle and tighten the bolts so that the steering column could still move. Install the universal joint shaft on the steering Insert the eccentric screw, turn it counterclockwise and install the nut on the bolt and tighten to 30 N ?� m (see. Fig. 16.63). Set the switches and column cover. Align the relative position of the steering column and tighten bolts of its fastening torque of 20 Nm. Connect the steering wheel electrical connectors 2 and the pickup coil heating steering wheel 10 (see. Fig. 16.58). Install the steering wheel and secure the new bolt, having tightened its moment of 50 Nm. Connect the electrical connectors airbags 3 and 4 static discharge (see. Fig. 16.58) and set the airbag. Make sure the clamps securely hold the airbag. Further installation is carried out in reverse order of removal.
