Checking the technical condition of the front suspension parts on the car
All inspections and work was carried out from the bottom of the car, installed on the lift or pit (with the front wheels). Each maintenance and repair it is necessary to check the condition of protective covers of spherical support suspension, on the cover should not be mechanical damage. Find out if there are any cracks in the suspension parts or traces of grazing on the road obstacles or body deformation of arms, stabilizer bar and its pillars, front end parts at fixing parts and suspension parts. Check the condition of rubber joints, rubber mounts, suspension ball joints, as well as the state of (draft) of the upper supports of the telescopic suspension struts. Rubber mounts and rubber pads should be replaced at break and rubber sole buckling, as well as undercutting their end surfaces.

Location of the front axle on the vehicle shown in Fig. 4.2. In the rubber suspension parts are not permitted: - Signs of aging rubber; - mechanical damage. In the rubber joints are not permitted: - Signs of aging, cracking, buckling rubber-sided array; - Separation of the solid rubber reinforcement. Replace defective parts.
A WARNING Pay particular attention to mechanical damage (deformation, cracks, etc.) Of the suspension, especially arms. |
| | 1. Check the condition of protective covers of spherical support. If the covers are damaged, replace the ball bearing assembly. | 2. Shaking the wheel in a vertical plane, check the ball bearings in the presence of backlash. If there is a backlash ball studs, replace the bearing. |
HELPFUL ADVICE When swinging the front wheels is difficult to distinguish backlash bearing hubs and ball bearings. Ask the assistant to press the brake pedal, if in this case will feel the backlash, the defective ball bearings. |
| | 3. Check the rubber bushing and silent blocks at fixing arms to the body. | 4. Check the condition of rubber plugs rack stabilizer bar ... |
| | 5. ... and the rubber pads of the left ... | 6. ... and right stabilizer bar mounts to the car body. |
7. Check the condition of the shock absorber guard. 8. Defective or damaged parts, replace.
