Check braking efficiency
Check the efficiency of the brake system is desirable in special brake stand (similar to those used during the traffic police of the annual technical inspection of vehicles). In an extreme case, the approximate comprehensive assessment of the braking system can be done on a level surface, closed to traffic. Desirably, the area was uniformly coated with a layer of sand. The following checks can be carried out only on vehicles not equipped with ABS. If your vehicle is equipped with anti-lock braking system, it is best to contact the service station. Car no load (inner driver only) Acceleration on I transfer to a speed of approximately 15 km / h. Very depress the brake pedal to lock wheel and hold it until the vehicle is stopped. Exit the vehicle and inspect the skid marks left by the wheels of the car. If the front wheels skid marks slightly longer rear, and the length of the tracks on the left and on the right is the same, then the brake system is OK. Otherwise repair system.
NOTE L lion. per. = L right. per. L lion. rear. = L right. rear. L Lane. > L rear. |
A WARNING Do not abuse this assessment because it is associated with an increased one-sided tire wear. |
