Replacing the oil seal Camshaft

If you find traces of oil leakage through the gland camshaft first check is not blocked and the crankcase ventilation hoses are not pinched any crankcase ventilation system, repair if necessary. If the oil leak does not stop, replace the oil seal.
You will need: all the tools needed to relieve the timing (see. "Replacing and adjusting the tension of the timing belt and its replacement by a tension roller"), as well as the key "17", screwdriver, pliers, hammer.
1. Disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery.
2. Establish the piston of 1st cylinder TDC compression stroke (see. "Installation of the piston of the first cylinder to TDC of the compression stroke").
3. Remove the timing belt (see. "Replacing and adjusting the tension of the timing belt and its replacement by a tension roller").
4. Remove the bolt of the camshaft pulley, keeping a pulley from turning, as shown in the photo inserted in the holes of the pulley handles pliers and a large screwdriver ...
5. ... and remove the pulley.
6. Having hooked a screw-driver, remove the oil seal from the slot of the front bearing of the camshaft.
7. Before installing a new oil seal inspect the working edge. It should be smooth, without snatching, dents and sagging rubber. Spring gland must be intact and unstretched. Grease a working edge with engine oil.

HELPFUL ADVICE
To facilitate the pressing gland make landing on its edge by a small facet Needle or fine emery wheel.

8. Install the oil seal sealing lip inside the bearing housing, carefully tuck lip on the camshaft (eg, using a wooden stick) and press in up to the stop with a suitable mandrel. As the mandrel can use the old packing.
9. Install all removed parts and components in the reverse order of removal.
10. Adjust the belt tension of the generator and the power steering pump (see. "Check and adjust belt drive alternator and power steering pump"), as well as the air conditioning compressor (see. "Check and adjust belt drive air conditioner compressor").
