Camshaft



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect "weight" from the storage battery.
  2. Drain the coolant.
  3. Remove the ventilation hose connecting the air filter and cylinder head cover.
  4. Remove the air filter.
  5. Remove casings of a gear belt.
  6. Remove the cylinder head cover and the steering angle sensor of the camshaft.
  7. Remove the bolt and remove a pulley from a camshaft.
  8. Remove the bolts and remove covers of bearings, camshaft, rocker arms and jacks of backlashes.

Removal and installation of injectors and high pressure fuel pump

  1. The fuel system subjected to high pressures (1350 bar).
  2. Never perform work on the fuel system with the engine running or within 30 seconds after it stops.
  3. Always follow the precautions.
  4. Ensure absolute cleanliness.
  5. Avoid falling fuel injectors.

Check

Rocker

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check the ease and smoothness of rotation of the roller.
  2. Check the surface of the roller. Replace it has dents, damage or evidence of seizure.
  1. Check the operating end of the valve stem. If the end of the valve stem is worn or riveted, replace the valve.

Camshaft

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Check camshaft necks to the absence of uneven wear, cracks or damage.
  1. Check out the contours of the cams of the camshaft for wear or damage. At two points, measure the height of each cam camshaft.

The nominal height of the cams of the intake valves: 34.697 mm
The nominal height of the cams exhaust valves: 34.570 mm
Minimum permissible height of the cams of the intake valves: 34.197 mm
Minimum permissible height of the cams exhaust valves: 34.070 mm

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Install the camshaft to the cylinder head.

Before installation, apply a thin coat of clean engine oil to all sliding surfaces of the camshaft.

  1. Install the camshaft bearing caps.
  1. Make sure that the camshaft rotates easily by hand. After checking, remove the bearing caps and camshaft, and then set the rocker.
  2. Make sure that the dowel pin in the end of the camshaft pulley side facing up.
  3. In particular sequence in two or three stages tighten bolts of covers of bearings torque. Torque: 26.5 - 29.5 N ??? m.

Tighten bolts evenly covers.

  1. Using a special tool, press-fit the oil seal camshaft. Before pressing Apply engine oil seal the outer surface of the seal. Insert the oil seal on the front end of the camshaft and install it by striking a hammer on the device to complete the installation.
  1. Install the camshaft pulley and fix its bolt. Torque: 120-140 N ??? m.
  2. Install the cylinder head cover.
