- Before installing the crankshaft, apply a thin coat of clean engine oil to all sliding surfaces. Install the crankshaft main bearing shells in the cylinder block.
- Install bearing cover, while using the Loctite 5205.
- Torque tighten the bolts of the base plate. Torque: - 15 mm: 28-32 tighten on a corner 120 ?� - 12 mm 33,7-37,7.
- Tighten the bolts 4 or 5 passes.
- Turn a cranked shaft and check that it rotates easily and smoothly. Establish a measuring tip of a dial indicator on the front end of the crankshaft. Move along the axis of the crankshaft until it stops and install the scale of dial gauge to zero. Move along the axis of the crankshaft in the opposite direction to stop and read the values of axial clearance on the scale indicator.
