Thermostat
Withdrawal | - Drain the coolant to a level below the thermostat.
- Remove the coolant inlet fitting and gasket.
- Remove the thermostat.
| - On a thread suspend the thermostat in a transparent container with water. Insert the thermometer into the water, heat the container with water and watch the thermostat valve. Determine the temperature of the start of opening and fully open the valve of the thermostat.
|
Gasoline engines The onset temperature of the thermostat valve opening: 82 ? C. Valve opening temperature of the thermostat: 95 ? C.
Diesel engines The onset temperature of the thermostat valve opening: 83,5-86,5 ? C. Valve opening temperature of the thermostat 100 ? C.

Setting | | - Set the thermostat so that the bleed screw is correctly positioned in the slot. If the thermostat is installed in the wrong position may be compromised its performance.
|
- Install a new gasket and coolant inlet fitting.
Torque: 20-25 N ??? m. - Fill in the required amount of cooling required coolant. Start up the engine and check for leaks from the cooling system.
Tightening torque, coolant temperature: 20-40 N ??? m. |
