Water pump
Water Pump Engine 2.0 / 1.8 L Withdrawal | - Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Drain the coolant into a suitable container and disconnect the hose from the union coolant inlet of the water pump.
- Remove ribbed belt and the water pump pulley.
- Remove casings of a gear belt and a tension roller of a gear belt.
- Remove the water pump mounting bolts, then remove the generator support.
- Remove the water pump from the engine block.
|
|
Check | | - Check each part for cracks, damage or wear and replace if necessary the pump assembly.
|
- Rotate the shaft of the water pump and check for smooth rotation in the absence of noise.
- Check for leaks in the coolant pump. If there is a leak from the hole with a malfunctioning pump seal. If necessary, replace the water pump.
|
|
Setting | - Clean gaskets and residue from foreign material sealing surface of the water pump.
| - Replace the water pump new gasket, install the pump and secure it with screws. Torque: 20-27 N ??? m.
|
- Install toothed belt tensioning pulley and adjust the belt tension.
- Install the timing belt covers.
- Install the water pump pulley and V-ribbed belt, and then adjust the belt tension.
- Fill in the required amount of cooling required coolant.
- Attach the wire to the negative terminal of the battery. Start up the engine and check for leaks from the cooling system.
