Attaching the valve to the refrigerant container

Before connecting the valve to the container, turn the knob all the way counterclockwise.

Turn the dial counterclockwise until then, until it reaches the highest position (Fig. 9.2).

Connect the center hose to a threaded fitting. Manually turn the dial all the way clockwise.

Turn the knob clockwise to punch a hole in the air-tight lid on the top of the container.

Turn the knob all the way counter-clockwise to fill the central air hose. Do not open the valves of high and low pressure.

Loosen the central nut of the hose connected to the pressure gauge.

Let the air for a few seconds, and tighten the nut.
