Repair air conditioning compressor

The hub and the pulley clutch
Withdrawal

Details of the hub and pulley compressor clutch
Fig. 9.7. Details of the hub and pulley C compressor clutch: a - engine V6 2,7 liter; b - engine DOHC; 1 - a bolt, 17,4-23 Nm; 2 - manifold assembly; 3 - installation; 4 - compressor assembly; 5 - reel clutch; 6 - washer; 7 - Bolt, 10-15 Nm; 8 - the disc and hub assembly; 9 - a lock ring; 10 - a pulley and bearing assembly;
11 - pin electromagnetic clutch

Details of the hub and pulley coupling shown in Fig. 9.7.
Remove the bolt coupling hub, keeping a pulley from turning a special key 09977-29000.
Remove the coupling hub from the shaft of the compressor. If the hub can not be removed from the shaft of the compressor, screw M8 screw into the hole of the shaft coupling hub to remove the hub from the shaft.
Remove the retaining ring of the pulley.
Remove the pulley and bearing assembly from the compressor.
Setting
Clean any dirt or corrosion of the surface of the pulley bearing compressor.
Install the compressor pulley and bearing assembly. Bearing can be easily installed on a sliding fit on the head of the compressor, if it is properly aligned.
Install the retaining ring of the pulley so that the beveled side facing outward.
Place one spacer washer nominal thickness inside the splined hub hole and slide the hub onto the shaft end of the compressor.
Screw the new hub bolt into the end of the compressor shaft and tighten the bolt hub torque 10-16 Nm.
Feeler gauge, check the air gap in the coupling between the mating surfaces of coupling hub and pulley.
Nominal air gap - 0,35-0,65 mm.
Check spend three locations equally distant from each other around the pulley.
If the air gap differs from the nominal value, repeatedly perform the installation with washers of different thickness as long as the gap will not be in the desired range.

C compressor clutch coil
Withdrawal
Remove the coupling hub and pulley.
Fit for the protection of the shaft on the front port of the compressor.

Use a stripper to remove the excitation coil coupling
Fig. 9.8. Use a stripper to remove the excitation coil coupling

Install the puller to the excitation winding sleeve, as shown in Fig. 9.8. Set working end screw extractor in a central recess of the protective device of the shaft, and the sponge scraper - around the back of the winding.
Tightening key worker screw puller, pull the excitation winding sleeve from the front part of the head of the compressor.
Installation is spent to sequences, return to removal, taking into account the following.
Feeler gauge, check the air gap in the coupling between the mating surfaces of coupling hub and pulley.
Nominal air gap - 0,35-0,65 mm.
