Check functioning and replacement of the wiper motor
Windscreen wipers Check | - If the wiper motor is not working at all, first check the condition of the fuse (Section Fuses - general information).
- Check the wiper switch (Section Check of serviceability of functioning and replacement universal stalk).
- Remove the installation fuse block circuit breaker (Section Fuses - general information). Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals. If the resistance is zero, replace the circuit breaker.
- Remove the wiper drive motor (see. P. 1-5). Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- When turning off the wipers measure the resistance between terminal 4 of the motor connector and ground. The reading should be zero. If not, - restore the earth fault.

- Turn the switch to the wiper on the low-speed mode, measure the voltage at terminal 5. It should be equal to the battery voltage. If this is the case, but the motor does not work, it is faulty and must be replaced.

|
Replacement | - Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
- Wax pencil, mark the position of the brushes on the windshield, then give nuts and remove the wiper arms.
- Remove the cover of the fairing (head body).
- Disconnect an electric socket of the motor, give fixing bolts and remove the motor assembly with rods by removing it from the space under the fairing.
- Hold the crank drive motor wrench, give the nut and remove crank. Turn the assembly upside down, give the three fixing screws and separate the motor from the assembly rods.

Cleaner glass tailgate Check | - Check the condition of the fuse in the assembly block (Section Fuses - general information).
- Remove the trim panel of switches on the dashboard and remove the wiper switch tailgate window (Chapter Body). Connect the switch and try out the terminal 1 with the ignition on. The voltmeter should show the battery voltage. If not, the circuit between the switch and the mounting unit has an open fuse.

- If the battery voltage is present at the respective terminals, terminal wiring connections found in a satisfactory condition, and the engine does not work, faulty switch.
- Lift the tailgate and remove the interior trim of her (head body).
- Disconnect the electrical connector to the wiper motor assembly.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF, make sure that the resistance between the terminal 3 and the mass of the motor is zero. If not, restore the violated grounding. Close the tailgate and make sure that the resistance between the terminal 6 and ground zero. If not - make a repair of the gauge-switch loose closing the tailgate and / or electrical wiring.
- Turn on the ignition and check that the power to the motor in each position of the switch (switch). If voltage is present, the switch and wiring is OK, replace the motor.

| - Disconnect the wiper arm and remove the nut, liner and gasket.
- Open the tailgate, lift the cover of its interior trim (Chapter Body) and disunite an electric socket.
- Supporting the motor with one hand, give the two mounting bolts, then remove the engine from the car.
- Install in reverse order.
