Removing and installing cylinder head
Withdrawal Setting | - Prior to installation, carefully clean the mating surface of the head and block. Available in special solvents - ask in shops of automobile accessories.
- With gasket scraper to remove all traces of the mating surfaces of soot and old gasket material, then wipe the surface with a cloth soaked in acetone. If the installation left on the mating surfaces of traces of oil, it will lead to the emergence in the near future leaks. When the block on any work cover the cavity where pushers set with a cloth to avoid falling into the engine shavings, debris and other foreign objects. To remove debris from the cylinder, use a vacuum cleaner.
- Check the mating surfaces of the block and heads for scoring, burrs, scratches and other damages. Minor defects can be eliminated by treating the surface with sandpaper. With larger lesions should be given to resort to machining (milling) surfaces.
- Run the threaded holes in the block tap the desired size. Alternately, each of the clamping bolt head in a vise, pass their thread chaser, removing corrosion and restore damaged threads. Left in the thread dirt, corrosion and sealing defects and turns will affect the reliability of the efforts of a tightening of fixture definitions.
- Install the new gasket on the guide pins on the block.
| - Install a new head gasket on each of the cans of the cylinder, putting it on the guide pins.

- Carefully put the head on the engine, taking care not to move with the pad.
- Before installing head bolts grease their carving uncured sealant such as Permatex ?�� 2 or equivalent.
- Set the screws to their original positions and tighten, first by hand. Acting in accordance with the procedure recommended in the accompanying illustration, tighten bolts in several stages to the required torque.

- Further installation is made in the reverse order of removal. As mentioned in Section Removal, check of a condition and installation of rocker bars of pushers and, after tightening the rocker before the first start the engine, let hydraulic pushers "settle" for at least 5 minutes.
- Fill a cooler and change the engine oil and oil filter (Head of Adjustment and routine maintenance). Start the engine and check for serviceability of functioning and the presence of signs of leaks of refrigerant and oil.
| Do not raise engine speed above turns of fast idling as long as the hydraulic tappets are filled with oil and re-start to run silently. |
