Repair procedure which does not require extraction of the engine from the car
Many of the total engine repair procedures may be performed without removing the latter from the vehicle. Before embarking on substantive work, clean the engine compartment and the external surfaces of the engine. Cleaning should be careful with the use of pressure or steam. This will help considerably to facilitate future work and prevent the internal cavity of the engine and galleries mud. Depending on the nature of the work may require the removal of the hood of the car (head body) to provide access to the relevant components. If oil leaks, cooler, exhaust gas, or loss of vacuum requires the replacement of gaskets or seals, these procedures can be completed without removing the engine. Access to the intake manifold gaskets, exhaust manifold, oil pan, cylinder heads, covers the distribution chain and crankshaft oil is quite possible without removing the engine from the car. Removal and repair mounted outside the motor components such as the intake manifold and exhaust manifold, water pump, starter, alternator, and a carburetor valve (power components) does not require removal of the engine from the vehicle. Since the cylinder head can be removed without removing the engine valve train components service also falls in the number of pending procedures in this chapter. They do not require removal of the engine and check the status of procedures, repairs and replacement of the distribution chain with asterisks and the oil pump. In extreme situations, in conditions of acute shortage of necessary equipment, without removing the engine from the car can be made how to replace the piston rings, pistons, connecting rods and connecting rod bearings. However, to practice this kind of repairs should not be referring to the need for the mass of preparatory work and careful observance of cleanliness.
