Checking the parking brake
The parking brake should hold the vehicle on a slope of 25% by moving the parking brake lever 5-7 teeth (clicks) ratchet device. 1. To check the parking brake adjustment find a parking space close to your car rack, or the loading ramp height H = 1.25 m and length L = entry 5 m. This ratio corresponds to the slope of 25%. |
2. In the absence of such a ramp for easy checking the parking brake, place the vehicle on flat ground. The shift lever is set to neutral, lift completely the parking brake lever. Get out of the car and try to move him. If you manage it, you need to urgently adjust the parking brake (see. "Adjusting parking brake"). |
