Clean the crankcase ventilation system
Over time, the crankcase ventilation system accumulate tarry deposits from the crankcase gases that make it difficult removal of these gases into the engine for combustion. Because of this, the gas pressure inside the engine is increased and there are oil leaks through the seal. To avoid this, periodically clean and flush the system.
HELPFUL ADVICE Clean the crankcase ventilation system before every oil change. |
You will need: the key "16" pliers. | | | 2. Squeeze the hose clip antennae big branch crankcase ventilation system to the fitting of the throttle assembly, slide the clamp on a hose (pictured air supply tube removed for clarity) ... |
| | 3. ... and disconnect the nozzle. | 4. In a similar manner, disconnect the hose from the union tee small branch crankcase ventilation. |
| | 5. Squeeze mustache hose clip small branch of the crankcase ventilation system to the nozzle check valve, slide the clamp on a hose ... | 6. ... and disconnect the hose from the nipple. |
| | 7. Loosen the check valve ... | 8. ... and remove the valve from the hole in the cylinder head cover. Squeeze the hose clip antennae big branch crankcase ventilation system to the fitting cylinder head cover (in the photo shown by the arrow) and disconnect the hose from the nipple. |
9. Rinse the hoses and check valve gasoline or kerosene, blow compressed air and dry. Clean the hole fittings to connect hoses. |
NOTE Check valve crankcase ventilation system should be purged with compressed air in one direction only - from a larger diameter fitting to the nozzle of smaller diameter. If the valve is blown in both directions, or even no rinsing is blown completely replace the valve assembly, as it is molded. |
10. Install the hoses and valve system in the reverse order of removal. |
