Repair strut front suspension
Repair absorber strut garage conditions usually does not lead to the desired result, so in this section considered only replacement shock absorbers, springs and suspension strut support. You will need: the keys "8", "17" spring compressor. | | 2. Fit the spring and compress a spring. | 3. Loosen the nut of the shock absorber rod, keeping the rod from turning. |
| | 4. Finally, unscrew the shock absorber rod nut ... | 5. ... and remove the top support of a rack. |
| | 6. Remove the upper bearing cup spring assembly with the upper rubber gasket. | 7. Remove the strut guard ... |
| | 8. ... and the buffer of the compression stroke. | 9. Remove the shock absorber spring front suspension ... |
| | 10. ... and lower rubber pad spring. | 11. Remove the upper bearing cup rubber gasket. |
12. Inspect the gasket and spring if they are compressed, hardened or torn, replace it. |
| 13. Install the shock absorber vertically several times until it stops and lift the lower shock-absorber rod. Make sure that the rod is moved without failure, jamming and knocks. Otherwise, replace the strut assembly from the shock absorber. In addition, replace the strut when detecting liquid drips (permitted slight fogging in the upper part of the shock absorber body) and threads are damaged in the upper part of the stem. |
NOTE This test work strut is approximate, for more accurate estimation of its technical condition, contact the service center. |
14. Examine buffer compression stroke for mechanical damage, replace the damaged buffer. |
15. Replace the upper bearing, if the bearing is corroded, it has an axial movement in the housing support or jammed when turning. |
16. Install the strut in the reverse order of removal. |
NOTE Tightening torque shock absorber rod nut 60-70 Nm. Tightening torque of the screws of the top support strut 20-30 Nm. |
