On the diesel engine thermostat housing is fixed on the fitting from the lower side of coolant pump, as shown in Fig. 139. Removal of the thermostat is carried out as follows: - Drain the coolant as described above; - Unscrew the hose clip of the cooling system; - Unscrew the two screws; - Remove the hose from the thermostat housing to turn on the pump and remove it; - Remove the thermostat from the case. In this pay attention to its position, which shall be stored in the subsequent assembly. The assembly is carried out in reverse order. The gasket is required to be replaced.
