Check the cooling system



The cooling system should be checked regularly, paying particular attention to the following:
- Check the hose connection on the radiator, pump, thermostat housing and heater;
- Rubber hose must not lose elasticity, be brittle or cracked. Old hoses often begin to leak or tear at a maximum pressure in the system;
- If the radiator is leaking, it is likely that damaged one of the thin plates or tubes under there is a crack in the plastic cisterns;
- Thermostat must be in good condition;
- Check for serviceability viscous coupling fan drive;
- Pump may leak if the cuff is damaged water pump. In this case, the coolant flowing from the pump through the opening for the pulley. The pump should be replaced;
- Rubber gaskets expansion bottle should not lose elasticity and have a crack;
- If the hoses are compressed after the cooling of the engine, the valve is damaged in traffic surge tank.
