Adjusting the parking brake pads

The parking brake requires adjustment if the lifting arm by more than 4 clicks the brakes do not operate. Adjust the pad parking brake should be carried out as follows:

- The back of the car and establish on support loosen the ropes in the equalizer;

- Insert a screwdriver into the hole of the wheel bolts, previously removing it (Fig. 295), and rotate the mounting gear up until the wheel locks. Then, from this position for 5 to rearrange gear teeth back to the wheel again rotates freely;

- A few times to lift the parking brake lever. After the adjustment, check that when you release the rope pads converge, as expected, and unlock the drum. Otherwise, repeat the adjustment;

- Screw the bolt back wheel;

- After setting the parking brake Brake Shoe imperative that they run-in, as described in the next section.
