Removal and installation of the master cylinder
Precautions when handling brake fluid In the clutch hydraulic brake fluid is used - it is toxic, so before the start of any work with it is necessary to observe the following precautions. Brake fluid should be stored in a special container, which has an appropriate designation. The liquid is toxic, even getting into 100 ml of liquid can cause death. Use gloves and goggles to protect the eyes and skin. If the liquid gets on the skin wash immediately with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with clean water. If necessary, consult a doctor. Do not allow brake fluid on the painted surfaces of the car. In case of contact immediately wash with clean water. Brake fluid is hygroscopic, absorbing moisture when the boiling point of the liquid is reduced. For this reason, it must be stored in a tightly closed container. After contact with even small amounts of mineral oil in the brake fluid can be damaged rubber hoses of the hydraulic system. Spotting oil hit particularly hard by using a colorless or yellow brake fluid. In the event that the oil in the tank needs to be replaced, the clutch master cylinder and the rubber parts of brake system. Then flush the system with fresh brake fluid and bleed. Given these consequences, to monitor closely to ensure that oil does not flow into the system.

In Fig. 182 shows the location of the master cylinder. When removing the need to perform the following operations: - Remove the left side trim under the dashboard; - Remove the floor mat on the left side; - In order to avoid leakage of working fluid from the system outlet hose from the master cylinder can be clamped suitable clamp. Otherwise, using the clutch pedal, to drain the system through the bleeder plug operating cylinder and the discharge hose into a special container; - Remove the discharge hose from the master cylinder; - Disconnect the brake light switch connector; - Unscrew the master cylinder from the clutch pedal bracket; - Take the clutch pedal, disconnect the spring, its protection and washer from the push rod; - Tongs to remove the locking rings to remove the snap ring securing the push rod (at the top of the clutch pedal); - Remove the connection hose from the cylinder with the tip and remove. Install the master cylinder in reverse order. Necessarily it is necessary to pay attention to the correct installation of the tip of the connecting hose. When connecting the push rod end thereof with a flange must face towards the pedal. Make sure that the snap ring properly entered into the groove. After completion of pump clutch (see. Sect. 6.8).
