Precautions when handling brake fluid
In the clutch hydraulic brake fluid is used - it is toxic, so before the start of any work with it is necessary to observe the following precautions.
Brake fluid should be stored in a special container, which has an appropriate designation. The liquid is toxic, even getting into 100 ml of liquid can cause death.
Use gloves and goggles to protect the eyes and skin. If the liquid gets on the skin wash immediately with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with clean water. If necessary, consult a doctor.
Do not allow brake fluid on the painted surfaces of the car. In case of contact immediately wash with clean water.
Brake fluid is hygroscopic, absorbing moisture when the boiling point of the liquid is reduced. For this reason, it must be stored in a tightly closed container.
After contact with even small amounts of mineral oil in the brake fluid can be damaged rubber hoses of the hydraulic system. Spotting oil hit particularly hard by using a colorless or yellow brake fluid. In the event that the oil in the tank needs to be replaced, the clutch master cylinder and the rubber parts of brake system. Then flush the system with fresh brake fluid and bleed. Given these consequences, to monitor closely to ensure that oil does not flow into the system.
