Models of early years of release (with petrol distances of 4.2 liter and 3.0 liter)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
  1. Using a small screwdriver, carefully remove the cover switch on the gear lever (see. Accompanying illustration).
  1. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the switch from the lever.
  2. Check for continuity between the terminals of the connector. When the POWER switch conductivity should take place at position AUTO - no. If necessary, replace the switch.
  3. Installation is in the reverse order.

Models of late years of release 4.2 liter EFI

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Small screwdriver, gently pry the switch, freeing him from the center of the instrument panel (see. Accompanying illustration).
  1. Disconnect the wiring and remove the switch from the car.
  2. Test the switch:
    1. In position POWER conductivity should take place between the terminals 2 and 7 of the switch.
    2. HOLD position must have a conductivity between terminals 2 and 3.
  3. If necessary, replace the switch.
  4. Installation is in the reverse order.
