Disassembly and inspection of the oil pump
For disassembly and inspection of oil pump, do the following: - Unscrew and remove the flange pipe oil receiver, oil receiver, remove the O-ring; - Remove the screws and remove the cover of the oil pump; - Inspect the oil pump gear teeth for signs of damage or wear; - If by design, check the oil pump drive chain if the chain links are excessively worn out or loosened, replace it;

|
- Check the radial clearance between the teeth of the gear pump by inserting a flat probe in contact between the teeth of the gears; slightly rotate the gear relative to each other to obtain the maximum gap (Fig. 2.45);

- Check the axial clearance of the pump as follows. Place the steel ruler across the face of the body of the oil pump, and then using the probe to measure the gap between the ruler and the gears of the pump (Fig. 2.46). Compare the measured value with the limit specified in the table. 2.8; - Compare the results obtained with valid. If any of the values is outside the tolerance, and if the detected signs of wear tooth, - the pump must be replaced; - Install the oil pump cover, tighten the screws and tighten their demanded moment; - Replace the oil pump oil receiver, replacing the O-ring. - Tighten mounting bolts to torque.
