Removing and installing timing cover
Withdrawal Remove the air filter. Remove protection crankcase. Remove the front right wheel arch liner. Mark direction of travel V-ribbed belt and remove it. Rotate the crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation before TDC of the first cylinder. Remove the water pump pulley. Remove the air conditioning compressor connected to the highways of the refrigerant from the bracket. Unscrew the holder of a tension element and the air conditioning compressor. Remove the generator.
Place a support console for the motor adapter 10-222 A 10-222 A / 8, as shown in Figure 2.15, per eyelet and hook for hanging. Gently pull the engine and remove the mounting bolts. Remove the oil pan.
Remove the bolt pulley. Hold a pulley with a wrench for fixation (Fig. 2.16).
Remove the screws with hexagon timing cover and marked with hex bolts (Fig. 2.17). Remove the timing cover.
NOTE Check whether the bearing sleeve crankshaft flange. |

Setting Thoroughly clean seating surfaces. They must be free of oil and grease.
NOTE Check to see whether there was oil and grease on the mating surfaces of the belt pulley mounting bolt, the bearing sleeve and crankshaft sprocket. |
When using the new repair kit Push the first washer with a diamond coating (inside diameter 23 mm) up to the stop on the crankshaft journal. Replace the oil seal on the side of the crankshaft pulley. Fit the new oil seal on the dowel pins. For ease of installation, screw two M6x80 spacers in the cylinder head and cylinder block. Fit the timing cover with a support sleeve on the crankshaft while the spacer bolts, dowel pins and crankshaft journal. Tighten mounting bolts timing cover evenly crosswise. Make sure that the camshaft housing is not warped. Torque: - M6 bolt with 10 Nm - Screw M10 50 Nm. Follow the way of tightening bolts gear V-ribbed belt. Further installation is performed in reverse order.
