Removal and installation of the phase shifter



Removal of the phase shifter
Remove the suction tube.
Remove the high-pressure pump.
Remove the cylinder head cover.

Remove the valve with variable valve timing (Fig. 2.128).

Align the mark on the camshaft sprocket with the mark on the cover of a gear belt. The recesses are vertically opposite to each other (Fig. 2.115).

Install the camshaft holder, as shown in Figure 2.129, and fix it.
Remove the retaining bolt nozzle end shifter.

Compress chain tensioner A and secure it in the locking pin (Fig. 2.130).
Remove the retaining bolt and remove the shifter along with the chain.

Installation of phase shifters
The camshafts must be lock camshafts are locked.
Put the chain on the shifter.

Put the shifter in front of the exhaust camshaft to align the notch to A spike in (Fig. 2.131).

In this position, lay the chain on top of the first intake camshaft sprocket (Fig. 2.132).

Slowly roll the intake camshaft trunnion key in the direction of the arrow A, the phase shifter is not planted on the camshaft (Fig. 2.133).

NOTE
If the pin on the part of the cut-out, remove and re-install chain.

Tighten the bolt of the phase shifter. Tightening torque 20 Nm + to tighten at + 45 ?�. To do this, use the tip end.
Remove the locking pin B (Fig. 2.130).
Further installation and assembly is performed in reverse sequence to removal.
