Control devices show the basic parameters of vehicle operation (Fig. 1.21).
Oil temperature in the engine This tool displays the oil temperature in the engine. Oil temperature in the engine is on the left side of the instrument panel .. When oil is cold (below 60 ? C) does not develop the full motor power. If in exceptional cases needle enters the red zone of the scale, it is necessary to reduce the engine revs. Arrow should return to normal operating temperature zone. If the arrow is a long time in the red zone, stop the vehicle and turn off the engine. Check the engine oil level. If the oil level is normal and not blinking warning light engine oil pressure, it is possible, without letting the engine high speed, followed in the next workshop.
Tachometer Tachometer shows the number of engine RPM. Top of the red zone on the scale indicates the maximum permissible speed for the run-in and a warm engine. Before the shooter go down in this area, go to a higher gear or select the selector lever position D, or relieve the pressure on the gas pedal.
ATTENTION Tachometer needle should not in any case go into the red zone of the scale. |
Coolant temperature
The instrument shows the temperature of the engine coolant. If the needle is in zone A low temperature - avoid high engine speed and heavy load on him. Under normal driving conditions, the needle should be in the area in the scale pointer. At high engine loads - especially at high ambient temperatures - the needle may briefly go to the right area of the scale. This is not a problem as long as the warning light and the corresponding text appears on the display. When the message icon appears in the display and it means that either the coolant temperature is too high, or the level is too low. Esl arrow is in the danger zone C, the warning light comes on, the display shows the icon and the warning message. This means that the coolant temperature is too high or too low a level. In this case, stop the car and turn the engine off. Check the coolant level.
ATTENTION Extra lights and other devices in front of the radiator grille reduce the cooling. At high ambient temperatures and high load of the engine there is a danger of overheating., |
The fuel gauge
The fuel tank capacity is about 100 liters. When the pointer reaches the red zone of the reserve fuel supply, the display shows an icon and a message. At the same time it sounds a warning signal as a reminder of the need to refuel. The tank is still about 12 liters of fuel. This index only works with the ignition.
Voltmeter The voltmeter shows the system voltage. Normal voltage is 12 to 15 V. When both included many consumers current, voltage, particularly at idling engine can briefly drop to 12 V. In order to prevent excessive discharge of the battery in this case, consumers are automatically switched off the current. If during normal operation of the engine power for a long time below 12, check the battery charging in the repair shop.
NOTE At engine start-up voltage can be less than 8 V. |
