Replacement of the fuel filter
When replacing the fuel filter, proceed as follows: 1) Empty the power supply system, for which:

- Remove the protective cap from the union;

- Connect the hose / nipple tool 999 5484 to the unit for pumping fuel 981 2270, 2273 and 2282 (Fig. 2.73); - Switch bilge pump; - Screw the nipple 999 5484 discharge pump on the union manifold. - Make sure that the valve is open; - Lift the car;

- Remove the cover on the left of the fuel filter (Fig. 2.74); - Remove the cap from the union; - Connect the pin tool 999 5480 to the valve to the fuel filter; - Remember that the emptying system requires approximately 2 minutes. 2) Replace the fuel filter, as follows: - Disconnect the quick-coupling of the fuel filter, hold the key to the 17 mm case; - Release the clamp holding the filter and remove the filter; - Remove the tool 999 5480 and put the cap; - Put the new fuel filter and press them with the power of quick couplers (make sure it is locked); - Fix the filter in its holder with a clamp; - Put the lid; - Lower the car; - Remove the tool 999 5484 and put the cap; - Put the cover of the engine; - Check for leaks.
NOTE Do not forget to put caps on the fittings. |
