Replacing the spring and shock absorber of the rear wheel
Work on the replacement should be performed in the following sequence: 1) Disconnect the upper part of the rear shock:

- Remove the side panel 1 (Fig. 8.20), insulation and sealing cap 2; - Unscrew the two screws 3;

2) Disconnect bracket stabilizer bar on the left and on the right (Fig. 8.21); 3) completely remove the rear shock: - Lift the car, hang out wheel; - Remove the wheel;

- Unscrew the nut 1 (Fig. 8.22) shock absorber mounting bolt and nut 2 screws on the trailing arm; - Remove the bolt and remove the shock absorber. 4) disassemble the shock absorber: - Compress a spring with clamps 999 5409 (Position the clamps exactly opposite to each other, they have to capture as many turns); - Alternately tighten the clamps until the spring does not move away from the thrust plates;
A WARNING Clips spring it is necessary to tighten the turn. |
- Loosen the nut of the shock absorber 1; - Remove the ring 2, the top cup springs 3, the rubber element 4 and spring 5; - Check all parts for wear and damage; 5) replace the spring: - Carefully unload the spring and install the tool 999 5409 to a new spring. Position the clamps opposite each other; They must capture as many turns; - Alternately tighten the clamps;

6) Assemble the shock: - Pull rod as far as possible from the shock absorber. Install a spring and a rubber component; - Put the upper spring cup and make sure it is disposed in parallel (with a maximum deviation of 3 ?) shock absorber; - Make sure that the spring ends fit snugly to the cup; - Set the ring and a new nut and tighten it to a torque of 30 Nm (for bumper ?Nivomat? - 25 N ? m);

7) Check the shock absorber - remove the clips from the spring and check the rubber ring 1 (Fig. 8.24) on top of the cup 2 of the spring;
A WARNING Improper installation of the rubber ring can lead to the ingress of dirt into the luggage compartment of the body. |
8) Mount the upper part of the rear shock: - Install the shock absorber so that the lower end of the coil was sent to the rear of the vehicle; - Put the upper shock absorber mounting nuts and tighten them to a torque of 50 Nm (use new nuts); - Install the sealing cap, mount the dismantled parts; - Put the trailing arm bolt; press down the entire suspension; put a damper bolt; 9) Check the cleanliness of the contact surfaces of the brake disc and hub; lubricate the central guide pin at the front of the hub anticorrosive composition 1161038-3; put the wheel and slightly tighten the bolts, then tighten them diagonally torque of 110 Nm; Put the hub cap;
A WARNING It is important to perform the tightness diagonally, applying a specified time. This will prevent the formation voltage in the brake disc. |
10) secure the lower arm; - Remove the support and swing the car a few times up and down; - Mount the stabilizer bar and tighten to 25 N ? m;

- Tighten the trailing arm bolt to 90 N ? m, and the shock absorber mounting bolt to 80 N ? m (Fig. 8.25)
