Checking the technical condition of the front suspension parts on the car
All inspections and work was carried out from the bottom of the car, installed on the lift or pit (with the front wheels). Be sure to check the condition of protective covers of spherical support suspension, on the cover should not be mechanical damage. Find out if there are any cracks in the suspension parts or traces of grazing on the road obstacles or body deformation of arms, stretch marks, stabilizer bar and its pillars, front end parts at fixing parts and suspension parts. Check the condition of rubber joints, rubber mounts, suspension ball joints. Check the condition of (draft) of the upper supports of the telescopic suspension struts. Rubber mounts and rubber pads should be replaced at break and rubber sole buckling, as well as undercutting their end surfaces.

Location checked the front axle is shown in Fig. 4.3. In the rubber suspension parts are not permitted: - Signs of aging rubber; - mechanical damage. In the rubber joints are not permitted: - Signs of aging, cracking, buckling rubber-sided array; - Separation of the solid rubber reinforcement. Replace defective parts.
A WARNING Pay particular attention to mechanical damage (deformation, cracks, etc.) Suspension components, especially the arms and the cross member. |
| 1. Check the condition of protective covers of spherical support. If the covers are damaged, replace the ball bearings. |
2. Shaking the wheel in a vertical plane, check the ball bearings in the presence of backlash. If found backlash ball studs, replace the ball bearings. |
HELPFUL ADVICE When swinging the front wheels is difficult to distinguish backlash in hub bearings and ball bearings. Ask the assistant to press the brake pedal: in this case, feel the backlash, defective ball bearings. |
| | 3. Inspect the upper support telescopic racks. In the case of strong deformation, local buckling and detachment from the valve rubber bearings replace solid support in the assembly. | 4. Check the plug ... |
| 5. ... and silent blocks at fixing arm front suspension to the crossbar. |
6. Check the condition of protective covers of spherical fingers rack stabilizer bar. If the covers are damaged, replace the stand. |
| | 7. Check the backlash at fixing rack stabilizer bar to the stabilizer bar ... | 8. ... and bracket telescopic racks. If there is a backlash ball studs, replace the stand. |
| 9. Check the rubber cushions at fixing anti-roll bar to the subframe. |
10. Check the condition of a protective cover of the strut. |
