Replacement tips of steering drafts and protective covers
To replace the tip of the vehicle on the support and remove the wheel. To replace the tip of the cuff with a hinge must be removed.

When removing the tip to guide Fig. 258. The replacement of tips of steering drafts should be carried out as follows: - Unscrew the nut 1 and detach the stripper tip with a hinge from a rotary fist. The following figure shows the required puller, which can be replaced by a universal. The same is done with the other side of the vehicle. Loosen the lock nut 3, unscrew the tip of a ball joint on the left thrust. When loosening should count the number of turns (up to a half-turn). Also it can be applied to loosen the felt-tip pen mark on the thread tip. When installing the screw tip should be the same number of revolutions, it is necessary to save the setting the toe angle of the wheels;

- Detach cover 1 (Fig. 260), steering the inside, relax and styanuv clamp 2. On the outer side thrust also loosen clamp and pull the cover. When installing the clamps tighten to 10-12 Nm; - To put a new cover on the tie rod and secure on the inside more time. Spread cover, without twisting, and secure the outside a little time; - Screw the cap to the draft. If you install the old tip, screw it to the former position; if the new - screw to about the same position; - Hinge pin clean of grease and oil and insert it into the tapered bore fist. Screw the nut and tighten to 120-130 Nm; - Set the wheels, lower the car and tighten the wheel bolts to 160-180 Nm.
