Adjusting headlights

Adjustment is carried out from the rear lights using an optical device. Adjust headlights better in the workshop. For self-regulation, there are different ways of accuracy. Therefore, when you adjust as described below can only be used when absolutely necessary in view of the following conditions:

- The vehicle is not loaded;

- Tire pressure is correct;

- The fuel tank is filled completely, otherwise put into the back of the respective ballast weight;

- The driver's seat must be a person, otherwise put on the seat of the ballast weight of 75 kg;

- The vehicle is on level ground.

To adjust beam headlamps adjustment screws are mounted on the left and right. The screw 2 (Fig. 323) is designed to set the light adjustment screw 1 - for lateral adjustment.

To adjust the lights, you must do the following:

- Briefly start up the engine and set the correction of headlights (if installed) to 0;

- Set the car about 10 meters away from the bright wall or garage door. If you need to adjust only one lamp, set its beam of light at the same height as the other light beam (adjusted) headlamps;

- If you need to adjust the two lights, make a wall or garage door proper layout shown in Fig. 324.

Adjust the headlights should be carried out as follows:

- Set the car just in 10 m from the wall. At the height d (height from the ground to the middle of the range), draw a horizontal line F;

- A draw a second line parallel to the first 5 cm below. This line is designed to adjust the beam;

- From the central axis M mark crosses a distance (from the center beam headlamps) and f (from the center of the dipped-beam);

- Include a headlight, close one of the lights and check that the center of the beam fell on the center line of the cross made f. If not, adjust with the screw as shown in Fig. 323;

- Main beam headlights set another as well;

- Switch the headlights to low beam and check that the rays fell on the cross and line.
