Brief description of the device
The necessary pressure is created in the lubrication system of the gear-type oil pump driven by a separate chain from the crankshaft sprocket. The circuit is equipped with a separate tensioning device.

In Fig. 119 shows the arrangement of the oil pump. The oil pump may be replaced without dismantling the engine. Individual components of the pump and its drive are illustrated in Fig. 120 for example, the five-cylinder engine. Usually in the case of failure the pump is not repaired, and replaced in the assembly.

|
Control lamp of level of oil in the instrument cluster (symbol depicting a lubricator on Fig. 121) lights up if the oil level is at the bottom of the label probe and indicates that the oil must be topped up. Be sure to use a special oil for diesel engines.
A warning At fire of a control lamp of pressure of oil should immediately stop the engine and bring the engine oil level to normal. |
