Removing and installing oil pan
Service stations from Mercedes special tools used to support the engine when removing the sump. After all, when it is necessary to dismantle the cross beam, causing the engine and gearbox are deprived of the lower leg. Therefore, when removing the beams should substitute the jack under the engine, or use the manual overhead crane. Removing and installing oil pan held as follows: - Place a suitable container and remove drain plug oil. Drain all the oil into the prepared container. Oil filler cap must be removed so that the oil is best drained. The oil is best drained from a warm engine, so you need to warm up the engine before starting work. Wrap back drain plug oil (use a new lining); - If the car has an electronic control system of idling, unscrew the speed sensor; - The upper side of a socket wrench with an extension unscrew the nuts of the front engine mounts. Raise the engine of the supports and turn away fastening crossbeam; - Unscrew the oil lines running from the crankcase to the oil cooler;

- Unscrew and remove the pan. If you need a replacement, hold it, guided by the figure. 127; - Installation of the sump is held in reverse order of removal. Upon completion of work to fill in the required amount of engine oil.
