Removal of the front axle
If the car is not installed ABS, description about the speed sensor in the steering knuckle, you can skip. Removing the front axle should be carried out in the following order:

- Loosen the wheel bolts to raise its jack on the front of the vehicle to establish support. In order to have access to all the details, the support should be set right and left in the ground as shown in Fig. 199. Release both front wheels;

- Release union nut hose 10 (Fig. 198) brake system on both tees 11 and remove the hoses (Fig. 200). Not to be confused how to connect the hose to the tee before removing cause the corresponding markings. Remove both the tee. Holes hoses to close the lid of the dirt; - Remove the bolt attaching the wires 15 14 Brake pad wear sensor and sensor wiring connector is disconnected; a car with ABS system disconnect the speed sensor to the steering knuckle. The sensor can also be removed without disconnecting the wires. In this case, unscrew the bolt and remove the sensor;

- Unscrew the fixing bolt Allen 6 of the joint steering and remove the hinge 5, together with the intermediate shaft of the gear rack and pinion mechanism 12. Fig. 201 shows this compound; - Special clamps to squash the hoses 7 and 8 power steering to prevent leakage of fluid from the system and unscrew the flare nut from the hose attachment. This spilled some liquid, which must be collected. The hose ends wrap masking tape to protect from dirt; - Loosen the nuts inside the cab 3 mounting racks shock by first removing the protective cover 2. On the left side of the cover is in the driver's footwell;
- Remove the air duct. In Fig. 202 shows its connection to the air filter and the engine; - Manual crane or hoist to lift the engine up to the moment when unloaded his support. The cables must be secured in special lifting lugs; - Substitute for Front Axle jack, but do not raise it;

- Unscrew the motor mount to the left and right sides (bolt 18 and washer 17, shown in Fig. 198). In Fig. 203 is a mainstay on the left side (near the oil dipstick). On the right side looks the same support. Before loosen engine mounts again to make sure that the engine is securely suspended;

- Disconnect Front Axle left and right sides of the spar by removing the bolts. In Fig. 204 shows where the set screws 16 (see. Fig. 198); - Slowly lower the bridge on Substituted jack. The assistant should hold the bridge on one side. It is better if the two assistants will stick to the bridge on both sides. Do not hold the axle housings for the brake discs - they can bend.
