In Fig. 317 shows a device starter used in diesel engines. Specially designed for diesel-powered vehicles, it is equipped with a planetary gear, which made it possible to make shorter the anchor and the entire starter. Starters usually have a long service life. If the starter is in operation for a long time, it makes no sense to repair it. To replace the better to pick up the serviceable starter, repaired on the company's service station Mercedes or Bosch. Old starter and you can pass on the exchange. The case of frequent minor malfunctions of a starter can be solved without replacing the entire unit. Replacement of the traction relay To do this: - Disconnect the connecting cable between the traction relay and the starter; - The front side of the relay to turn away bolts and disengaged the lever activate the starter motor, remove the traction relay; - Install the new relay in reverse order. Replacement brush To do this, follow these steps: - Unscrew and remove the cover from the rear of the starter; - Unscrew the two screws on the bearing cover collector; - A screwdriver to pry the locking clip on the end of the armature shaft, to remove it, take out the fine details, and then remove the cover. If necessary, press for the removal of the screwdriver. Shims save; - Remove the two brushes of fastening and to remove the brush holder. Brushes can be bolted or soldered. If they are soldered, use a soldering iron. New brush solder or screw down. Assemble the starter in reverse order.
Note If the starter has long been in operation, it is better not to repair and replace new or serviceable second-hand. Choose a starter and can be in a specialized workshop of firm Bosch. |
