Adjustment of a drive switching Manual transmission 717,461
The design of the actuator switch series 717.4 Manual transmission (the ML 230)

- Park the car on level ground.
- Turn neutral.
- Press forward (in the direction of motion), output gear lever with fixed head stem from a central position.
- Align the stem (1) with a head (2).
- Move transmission shift lever to the center position and perform the engagement, putting the end of a rod of switching to the head (2).
- Avoiding turning the stem with a head (1 and 2) and outputting the shift lever from the center position, tighten the threaded pin (3).
- Check free travel of the locking pin and the correct setting of the longitudinal rods switch.
- Remove the locking finger and try switching the drive with the engine running. Check the distance rods engaging with the lever on the support arm in all positions of the transmission.
