 | The illustration shows the thermostat disconnected from the cover of the thermostat. The thermostat is integrated into the cover can be checked and set. |
Gas engine
Withdrawal | | The thermostat is integrated in the thermostat and can be replaced only in conjunction with it. |
 | When the engine is hot before opening surge tank cover it with a thick cloth to avoid burns due to exposure to hot coolant and steam. The cover should be removed only when the coolant temperature is below + 90 ? C. |
1. Drain the coolant into a container, as described in Section Replacement of a cooling liquid - general comments. | 2. Remove the engine front cover (2) and the left (1). |
3. Remove the coolant hoses to the radiator and a broad tank on the cover of the thermostat. Pre-release clamps and slide them all the way back. 4. Remove thermostat cover and remove it along with the thermostat. | Thermostat and thermostat cover form a single unit. When removing the thermostat may be damaged and may not be followed by the installation. |
5. Remove the thermostat housing gasket and clean sealing surfaces. |
|
Setting | 1. Install the new O-ring, cover the thermostat with the thermostat and fix torque 10Nm. 2. Attach the coolant hoses for connecting fittings and tighten clamps. | At the same time check the condition of hoses and clamps, and replace if necessary. |
3. Replace the front and the left engine cover. |
|
Diesel engine
It describes only differences from the gasoline engine. | 1. Disconnect the connector of the sensor temperature (14). 2. Disconnect the fuel holder from the thermostat housing. 3. Disconnect the coolant hoses and breather hose (1) from the thermostat housing (1). 4. Remove the thermostat housing (12). Tightening torque 9Nm. |
