Removing and installing AT torque converter

| - On models corresponding complete set (code ET2) activate the service mode of the emergency call TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE).
- Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
- Poddomkratte car and establish it on props.
- Disconnect from the crankcase of the engine and transmission oil filler tube (2).
- Remove the plug (9) and drain the transmission fluid - immediately reassess the ATF, in case of need make its replacement (see chap. Current care and maintenance).
- Release bandages, separate the wiring harness from the fuel filler pipe and disunite connector (X22 / 2) - Prepare replacement tires.
- Remove the output speed sensor transmission (B49) - if necessary, prepare a replacement O-ring.
- Remove the left and right oil lines going to the oil cooler.
- Release the retaining clamp and remove the shift rod (7).
- Remove the cover (12) and remove the converter from the disk drive.
- Support the special transmission jack.
- Remove the crossbeam assembly to the rear pillar of the suspension of the power unit (6).
- Otboltite propeller shaft (5) from the outlet flange of transmission and transfer case, and remove from the car - if necessary pre otboltite and tilt transmission (See below.) - And tie it to the bottom of the elements.
- Remove the stabilizer bar (see chap. Suspension and steering).
- Release the bandage fixed to the frame harness, padded to the left of the transmission.
- Otboltite ground bus (4).
- Remove the bolts AT to the motor and lower it at an angle of - if not already done so, remove the propeller shaft.
- If necessary, using special extractors remove the transmission torque converter.
- Installation is in the reverse order - the drive flange before installing the converter should be lightly greased. Track correctness of installation of the propeller shaft.
- Finally, deactivate the service mode of TELE AID and clean the processor memory board self-diagnostic system (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).
