Checking the technical condition of the knock sensor (on the motor SR20DE)

Make sure the ignition is turned off. Disconnect the connector from the sensor and remove the sensor from the engine block. Check to see if the mating surfaces of the cylinder block, and the sensor traces of corrosion and contamination. Screw the sensor in the cylinder block.
