Held at the inscription ?OEL? on the display board information system. Change engine oil and filter. Timely replacement of oil - one of the most important elements of the durability of the engine. With mileage engine oil contaminated loses viscosity, which in turn leads to premature engine wear. However, this - the most common and important maintenance procedure that can be performed by motorists themselves. Oil change is as follows: - Make the necessary preparations: oil-resistant gloves protect your hands; possible lift the car on the lift or put on a flyover, in their absence, the jack and set it on reliable support. The vehicle must be horizontal, and if it is tilted - drain plug must be at the lowest point; - Warm up the engine: the oil must be warm, because then it will be easier to blend in, and with it will remove most of the sludge. Be careful not to touch the components of the engine and exhaust system; - Use the socket or ring spanner, loosen the drain plug, substitute capacity for gathering poured oil, then remove the plug before the end; - Remove the plug O-ring; - Allow the oil to flow for some time, do not forget that you may need to move the container, when it begins to flow a trickle; - After escaping, all the engine oil glass, wipe the stopper with a clean cloth and install a new O-ring. Clean the area around the hole for the plug, replace the cap and tighten it; - Place the container under the filter, which is located on the front side of the cylinder block, below the intake manifold; - A tool to remove the oil filter, loosen the filter, then unscrew his hand, drain the oil from the filter into the container; - Remove all the oil and dirt from the area around the location of the filter on the engine. Check to see whether there was a rubber sealing ring of the old filter on the engine, if necessary, remove it; If this happens, then gently remove it. - Lubricate with clean engine oil sealing ring of the new filter, and then screw it into place in the engine. Tighten the filter by hand only - do not use any tools; - Lower the vehicle to the ground, then pull out the dipstick, remove the oil filler cap on the cylinder head cover or on the neck breather (depending on the design); - Pour in the engine correct grade of oil. In order not to spill oil, use a funnel. Please fill half the amount of oil, then wait a few minutes so that the oil has reached the sump. Continue to slowly add oil until the level reaches the bottom mark on the dipstick. Adding about one liter bring the level up to the top mark. Replace the filler cap; - Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes, check for leaks around the oil filter seal and drain plug tray. Note that until the oil pressure indicator goes off, it may take a few seconds needed to fill the oil channels and new oil filter (if installed) and to raise the pressure; - Turn off the engine and wait a few minutes to allow the oil merged into a tray. After the new oil filled the loop filter and re-check the level on the dipstick, add oil if necessary. Checking the front brake pads. Checking the front brake pads is as simple as the other test recommended in this publication. However, their timely replacement can help extend the life of the front brake discs, make the car safer operation. To check the front brake pads, perform the following steps: - Fix the car manual brake, then lift the front of the car jack, push it firmly into the support; - Remove the front wheel; - Remove and clean the brake pads; If the wear lining of any of the pads has reached the limit, replace the entire set of pads; friction linings pads should not have cracks and bundles;
NOTE The test can be performed quickly, if we measure the thickness of the friction material on each brake pad through the hole in the caliper housing. |
- Inspect the front brake discs, paying special attention to cracks, chips, traces of overheating, even wear. Setting the service interval display. Upon completion of all the necessary maintenance work, check their performance in memory on-board information system.
