Frequency of service
To make your car was in excellent condition, you must carry out periodic maintenance. Maintenance must be carried out either continuously or at predetermined intervals which are shown below. These are the minimum maintenance intervals recommended by the leadership. If the vehicle is operated under severe conditions, particularly in dusty areas, towing a trailer at low speeds or on short trips, recommended maintenance more frequently.
Weekly or every 400 km Check the following items: - Engine oil level;
- The level of the coolant;
- The level of brake fluid;
- The availability of water in the washer fluid reservoir;
- Operation of a control bulb glow plugs (diesel engines);
- The state of the battery, tires, wipers and all bulbs.
Maintenance every 15 000 km "Inspektions-Service"
Replace engine oil. Replace the oil filter. On vehicles with diesel engine drain the water from the fuel filter. Check the exhaust pipe to the reliability of fastening, the absence of leaks and damage. Control survey to check the engine for no leaks and damage. On the diesel engine with direct injection (TDI or SDI) to check the wear of the toothed belt. Check the coolant level and antifreeze concentration. If necessary, add a liquid or bring the concentration back to normal. Display information from the memory control units all systems checks in self-test. Check and adjust the engine speed to idle. The operation is performed only in a car with a diesel engine, naturally aspirated (except SDI), and provided that the period of the next test for toxicity of exhaust gases is yet to come. On engines without automatic tensioner pulley to check the condition of the V-ribbed belt. Check and, if necessary, adjust the tension. On the diesel engine to replace the fuel filter. Check the oil level in the gearbox and final drive housing. If necessary, add oil. Replace the dust filter (if any) in the cabin. Check and, if necessary, adjust the headlamp unit. Control survey to check protective cover underbody damage. Apply grease to the sliding guide for convertible top (if any).
The operations to be carried out every 60 000 km above the rules "Inspektions-Service" for the two previous lists
Replace the spark plug. Rinse the air filter and replace the filter element. Check the condition of the V-ribbed belt. Check the fluid level in the power steering gear. If necessary, top up with hydraulic fluid. Check the fluid level of hydraulic transmissions (ATF) automatic transmission. If you will need the, to add a liquid. Check the oil level in the crankcase main gear automatic transmission. If necessary, top up with gear oil.
The operations to be carried out over regulation "Inspektions-Service" every 90000 km
Replace the timing belt and the timing belt idler pulley.
