Removal and installation of the cylinder head



Withdrawal
Disconnect the gearbox and engine.
Fix the engine on the retainer for the engine and gearbox.
Remove the following:
- intake manifold;
- The lower part of the intake manifold;
- an exhaust manifold.
Remove the thermostat housing from the cylinder head.
Remove the EGR valve.
Remove the timing cover.
Remove the crankcase the camshaft.
Remove the roller lever with the legs and place them on a clean surface.
Roller levers and supports swap prohibited.

Loosen and unscrew the bolts of the cylinder head in sequence (Fig. 2.42).
Carefully remove the cylinder head.

Setting
Put into the cylinders a clean cloth to between the piston and the cylinder bore no dirt and the remains of emery.

NOTE
Pistons not be located at TDC.

NOTE
A new cylinder head gasket must be removed from the packaging until immediately before installation.
Handle the new gasket with extreme caution. It will lead to further damage to the leak.

Carefully clean the sealing surfaces of cylinder head and cylinder block. It does not leave a long scratches or scoring (using sandpaper grit it should be not less than 100).
Carefully remove remaining emery and sandpaper and rags of the cylinders.
Bring the piston of the first cylinder in VMT and again turn the crankshaft back slightly.
Install the new cylinder head gasket. Marking (part number) has to be readable.
Install the cylinder head. Note the locating pins in the cylinder block.
Insert new head bolts and tighten them by hand.

Tighten the cylinder head bolts in the sequence as follows (Fig. 2.43).
Tighten all bolts to 30 Nm.
Then tighten all the bolts on 1/4. (90 ?�) normal key.
Finally, tighten all bolts again at about 1/4. (90 ?�).
Insert the supporting elements in cylinder head and check the corresponding roller levers to the ends of cores of valves and their support.
Install camshaft housing.
Adjust the timing.
Further installation is performed in reverse order. It is necessary to consider the following
Install the timing cover.
Connect the fuel lines.
Install the EGR valve.
