Removing and installing clutch production Sachs

Withdrawal
Remove the gearbox.
Insert the support to release the screws.
Release the screws gradually, crosswise.

Emphasis flywheel
Fig. 3.29. Emphasis flywheel

When unscrewing the stop 2 screw 1 must be attenuated (Fig. 3.29).
If the focus is not weakened: click on the screw in the direction of the two-mass flywheel.
Remove the pressure plate and clutch disc.

Setting
Installation is performed in reverse order, with the need to pay attention to the following points.

NOTE
Replace the pressure plate and clutch disc only together. Determine the pressure plate and clutch disc by Engine code.
Check whether there are any-fitting sleeves for centering the engine / gearbox to the engine block, if necessary, insert them.
In the absence of fitting sleeves difficulties arise when switching, problems of coupling and, accordingly, the noise in the gearbox (crack in the drive wheels).

Installation position of the clutch disc
Fig. 3.30. Installation position of the clutch disc

The inscription "Transmission" faces the gearbox (Fig. 3.30).

Check the diaphragm spring end

Check the diaphragm spring end
Fig. 3.31. Check the diaphragm spring end

Check the ends of the diaphragm spring (Fig. 3.31).
Permissible wear diaphragm spring to half its thickness.
Check out the drills and riveted connections

Check keyways and riveted joints
Fig. 3.32. Check keyways and riveted joints

Check the key connection between the clutch and the cover for cracks and riveted connections for tightness (Fig. 3.32).

NOTE
Replace the clutch discs and pressure plates with damaged or no connection to the rivets.
To reduce odor when burnt clutch must be thoroughly cleaned cap clutch and the flywheel and the engine by the transmission.

Clean Teeth primary shaft and using the clutch - Teeth hub, remove corrosion and apply to the Teeth, very thin layer of grease to the gear clutch connection. Then move the clutch disc in one and the other side until the hub is not easy to walk on the shaft. Be sure to remove excess grease.
The pressure plates are protected against corrosion and greased. They can be cleaned only to the work surface, otherwise significantly shorten the life of the clutch.
The working surface of the pressure plate and clutch disc pad should fit snugly to the flywheel. Only then you can insert the screws.

Installation support
Fig. 3.33. Installation support

When installing, insert the support (Fig. 3.33).
Put on the pressure plate on the locator pins.
To center the clutch plate using the centering rod.
Evenly tighten all screws by hand until the screw head is not adjacent to the pressure plate.
Tighten the screws progressively crosswise to prevent damage to the centering hole pressure plate and dual-mass flywheel dowel pins.
Install transmission.
